If you turn it on, my iPhone app writes you a short letter from your future self once a week. A language model drafts it, and a few hundred lines of plain code check every sentence before it reaches you. This is about the second part, including what still gets past it.
There are no thumbnails and no settings window. It does not check for updates, and it does not spend a single CPU tick while it sits there. I measured it twice, once before signing and once after, and every command I used is at the bottom of the page.
Retrieval-augmented generation is a weekend of plumbing. Knowing whether the answers are any good is the actual work. So I built the dashboard that tells me when they are not. The first hour of using it properly found two bugs, one of them a constant I had guessed.
